World MasterCard Fashion Week Day 4: Cable Knitted

Shot by Deanna Flinn, Freeadmission

Behind the Look:

The look was inspired behind the beautiful cable-knitted cardigan from RW&CO’s Fall/Winter collection. I chose to leave it by itself because it was a feature piece on its own, but to change it up I added a herringbone vest underneath. The sweater although is beautiful, on its own would have been to simple for a week like this. This week for me was a time for me to truly showcase my personal styling ability on myself and prove why I am called The Prep Guy. So underneath the vest I put on a light blue button down shirt, which had mini orange details on it. The base colour of the shirt was also blue so I knew I had leeway to introduce more colours. I wore a simple but very preppy burgundy and blue striped silk tie. Next I highlighted the orange detailing in the shirt by adding a orange cotton and silk scarf into the mix. It really made the orange pop and completed the upper look. The tricky part of the look was picking the right colour pants, I had two options, black or grey. The black slim fit jeans looked great but if the cardigan had been grey – it would have been perfect. So I decided to go with a great cotton trouser in a dark grey.
