FASHION FACE OFF: IGGY AZALEA VS. STEVE MADDEN

It seems as though the "Fancy" rapper/singer is not happy (allegedly) with the campaign images chosen by Steve Madden for their up coming collaboration. Yesterday, the artist went on a twitter rant to address the poor image choices made by the creatives. Though the tweets have since been removed, the artist has forgotten that with fame comes permanent tweets.

Iggy Azalea's tweets allegedly stated: "I’ve been bamoozeled [sic] with a tumblr page where everyone wears socks and takes unintentional crotch shots on pool toys. I’m in shock,”
followed by, “I worked really hard on the creative direction of both the shoes and the shoot I WAS involved with and in, (and now) it’s been tainted with these God awful images that Steve Madden took appon [sic] themselves to create and share without my knowledge. Gross gross gross.”

In a recent interview TMZ had with Steve Madden, the design legend said that the singer has apologized and that he will be continuing to work with the artist. However, a lot of it just sounded like he was holding back because he didn't want to cause more damage.

These are some of the images approved by Iggy for the campaign:

These however are the images that sent the artist off:

My Thoughts
I can totally understand to why she is upset by the images shown above, however, her biggest mistake was tweeting out the negativity rather than sending a formal (and confidential) complaint to the Steve Madden team. Due to her tweets, I can't imagine that the Steve Madden team are very happy, and I can definitely see the collaboration falling through. Not only did she insult the integrity of the project, she made it out to be that the products aren't even true to her taste. Yikes! I really do hope that they can continue the collaboration however, and re-do the shoot. Steve Madden is a powerhouse and I do not think that Iggy would want to further tarnish that relationship or lose that cheque.
