THE PREP GUY: World MasterCard Fashion Week Day 3: The Shearling Collar Coat

Behind the Look

For todays look, I wanted to create a preppy-street style inspired look. The key piece for the look was the fabulous shearling collar coat from RW&CO. The cross zip inspired the street idea, but the shearling collar gave the coat a more lux appeal. The crazy thing is that the coat is under $300, which I think is great for any guy + if you’re a minimalist, the shearling collar is removable as well. Underneath the coat I wore a black crew neck sweater, with a club collar shirt. The jogger jeans were also what inspired the street style worthy look, with their slim fit + the fleecy interior made them super comfortable for running around all day. To accessorize the look and give it the finishing touches, I went for red & gold! The Ray-Ban signets are one of my favourites from my sunglasses collections, because they are unexpected and still more so original than wearing wayfarers or clubmasters. To match the shades, I wore the Movado watch, which also tied in the black from the sweater. Much like the colour palette from my day 1 look, I incorporated a rich red-tone to add a splash of colour. The silk knit bow tie and the red puma descendant sneakers were a match made in heaven.
